Saturday Indesign 2026 brought a vibrant day of design, conversation and connection to the Euroluce Sydney showroom.

Throughout the day, we welcomed architects, interior designers, students, design enthusiasts and industry friends into our showroom to explore Sensory Surface, Where Light, Sound & Material Meet.

Our concept explored the way lighting, sound and material can influence how we experience and interact with a space. Rather than simply looking at individual products, we wanted visitors to experience lighting as part of a broader sensory environment.

A day of design, discovery and connection

From the moment the doors opened, the showroom was filled with conversations, new connections and plenty of design inspiration.

Visitors had the opportunity to explore the Euroluce collection throughout the showroom, discovering lighting applications, architectural solutions and the latest collections from our global brand partners.

Our Sydney showroom was joined by Bolon and Bang & Olufsen, with each brand creating its own distinctive environment within the broader experience. Together, the spaces demonstrated how considered design elements can work individually while contributing to the atmosphere and experience of an interior.

The response throughout the day was fantastic, with a constant flow of visitors exploring the showroom, meeting the team and connecting with the design community.

A showroom experience designed to be explored

Across the day, visitors were encouraged to take their time exploring the showroom and discovering the different lighting applications throughout the space.

From architectural downlighting to decorative pieces and statement collections, the showroom provided an opportunity to see products in context and understand how different lighting approaches can transform a space.

It was also a chance to meet the Euroluce, Bolon and Bang & Olufsen teams.

Good food, good company

Design and conversation were accompanied by plenty of food and hospitality throughout the day.

Guests enjoyed focaccia, meats and cheeses in the morning before our outdoor Onfalos grill took over for the afternoon, serving prawns, wagyu and vegetable skewers by Marana.

From 3pm, The Negroni Edit brought a little Italian aperitivo to the afternoon, with Campari cocktails served alongside the continued conversations and activity in the showroom.

The combination of great food, design and an incredible A&D community created an atmosphere that carried throughout the day.

Sensory Surface Panel Discussion

A highlight of the day was our Sensory Surface panel discussions, exploring the relationship between our environment, our senses and the way we experience design.

Moderated by Alice Blackwood, the panel brought together a diverse group of voices from design and neuroscience:

Donn Salisbury, Electrolight
Brooke Lloyd, Cox Architecture
Dr Hayley North, Neurologist

The conversation looked beyond aesthetics to consider how the built environment can influence perception, emotion and experience.

Bringing together perspectives from lighting design, architecture and neuroscience created an engaging conversation around how we can design spaces that respond to people, rather than simply surrounding them.
