A Policy and Objectives Statement

Health, Safety & Wellbeing

We provide safe workplaces and ensure that all team members can work in a physically and psychologically safe environment, governed by monthly OH&S scrutinisation and access to external HR support. We provide adequate resources to improve, measure and monitor safety and we target a Zero LTIFR. We recruit on merit alone, providing equal opportunity to all.

We work collaboratively, providing honest, constructive and fearless feedback and guidance to management on how safety and wellbeing can be improved to achieve best practice. Euroluce engages a 3rd party to survey staff bi-annually.

Ethical Sourcing & Human Rights

Euroluce currently works with 12 suppliers from 6 countries. The majority of these companies are very long-standing partnerships; we know and trust their management to be equally committed to ESG goals, acting honestly and ethically. We routinely review our supply chain against our own ESG standards and targets.

Euroluce promotes energy-efficient Lighting Solutions. The products we promote are at the leading edge in technology which we integrate into efficient solutions, contributing to a progressive built environment with low energy demand. As such Euroluce delivers energy savings of up to 90% compared to legacy technologies and every day we challenge the boundaries to reduce energy consumption for our clients.

We also challenge our own operations with similar rigor to reduce our carbon footprint and eliminate waste.

Our environmental goals are to;

1. Achieve net zero GHG emissions by;

  • 2025 for Scope 1 emissions
  • 2030 for Scope 2&3 emissions

2. Reduce, then eliminate waste in packaging by;

  • Eliminating all single use plastic and EPS by 2023.
  • Achieve 100% recyclable or reusable packaging by 2025

We collaborate with our supply partners to eliminate waste and reduce GHG emissions. Over 50% of our range (by revenue) is currently from net zero emissions suppliers.

Euroluce is an active member of APCO (The Australian Packaging Covenant). The Covenant aims to reduce the environmental impacts of Consumer Packaging by supporting two goals:

  • Optimising resource recovery of Consumer Packaging through the supply chain by:
    • Adopting approaches that make changes in the way we design, use and buy packaging and packaged products so that packaging uses less resources and is more easily recycled, and
    • Enabling packaging materials to be returned to the economy thereby minimising waste associated with the generation and consumption of Consumer Packaging across the supply chain.

  • Preventing the impacts of fugitive packaging on the environment by adopting approaches that support new innovations, and find solutions to capture packaging materials or waste before it enters the environment or support the adoption of new or alternative types of packaging.

Community Engagement

Euroluce operates across several communities and we recognise that our social license to operate depends upon being productive and engaged members of those communities.

We encourage our team members to support their own communities and offer to sponsor their endeavours.

Community Support Through Charity

In alliance with the Property Industry Foundation, Euroluce proudly donates to The Haven Project supporting Social Workers in Haven Houses.
The Haven Project builds homes for well-established youth homelessness charities which then operate them.

Industry Community Support

Euroluce supports the industry through sponsorship and support of events with associated industry bodies.

Specifically, Euroluce actively supports the IALD (International Association of Lighting Designers, Australian Chapter) an internationally recognised organisation dedicated to supporting a network of 1,500 independent lighting design professionals who satisfy its rigorous qualification process. The IALD strives to set the global standard for lighting design excellence by promoting the advancement and recognition of professional lighting designers. Euroluce also collaborates with ICCIAUS (Italian Chamber of Commerce and Industry) who are at the forefront of business in Australia and Italy, ICCIAUS offers a wide range of services to members and non-members to assist in trade and investment in both directions.
